Our babies change us at our very core forever, no matter how we meet them.

Doulas are for anyone and any birth.
Why a Doula?
No matter how fantastic your doctor or midwife, no matter how amazing your nurses, you and your partner will be alone in segments of the birthing process unless you arrange support. Whether it's facing confusing decisions prenatally, working through early labor at home, or navigating postpartum care, there will be times it's helpful to have the support of someone who has knowledge and resources around the collective experiences of birthing.
One type of support - from prenatal to postpartum - is the doula, a partner trained in physical and emotional comfort measures and with specialized training and experience in providing continuous support throughout the birthing process.

Over 26 studies across 17 countries involving more than 15,000 women created a clear picture that "women allocated to continuous support were...less likely to report negative ratings of or feelings about their childbirth experience." - Continuous Support for Women During Childbirth

I am a mother, aunt, sister, friend, and DONA International certified doula. I've had four birth experiences of my own, each one unique. My doula was instrumental in making me feel empowered in my birth process, through the choices that came easily and those that were difficult. It is my goal to provide physical, emotional, and mental comfort and support during your childbirth, but also to simply be present with you and your partner as you navigate your own unique experience.
Meet Nancy
A Doula for Any Birth
Everyone wishes for the ideal outcome in pregnancy and birth, but some do not receive it. I am not only pursuing certification through DONA, but through Still Birth Day. We cannot face life without also facing loss, and my work is as both a birth doula and a bereavement doula. I'm prepared to walk with you through every season of expected and unexpected loss. I have not experienced this loss first hand, but I have had sisters and friends navigate these impossible decisions and grieved with them.

For the decisions you get to make as a parent and the decisions you don't, I validate you.
You are not alone.
